Well, my life can sometimes be filled with drama. Two days ago I was shopping in Old Navy and I left my phone in the cart when I left. About 10 minutes later I realized and turned my car around to go get it. It was nowhere to be found. I was a little emotional about it as I walked through the store asking people if there was a phone in their cart. I even called it a few times from the store phone. I left and went to a Cingular store to see what I could do. They disabled my sim card and put my same phone number on a new card and put that into a loaner phone. As soon as they did this I received a text message from someone I didn’t recognize. When I got home the same number called me. When I answered there was a girl asking for LUPE. “Hmm..LUPE snatched my phone from Old Navy”, I thought. I told her that LUPE stole my phone and if she talked to him she needed to tell him to return my phone ASAP. She seemed awkward. DUH! I went on to the internet and logged onto my Cingular account. There I found a couple of numbers that LUPE had called as soon as he stole my phone. Dummy!!! I called them and talked to a couple of guys that knew LUPE. I told them the same thing I told the girl and that I was not going to stop calling until he returned it. I then gave the girls # to my husband Jake. Jake called her and she gave him the runaround. He went online and did a reverse phone look up and found that she lived in West Valley. He then sent her a text telling her that if she didn’t call him back within 20 min. he was going to call the West Valley police on her. (scare tactics) 5 min. later the phone rang but it was a woman upset about the police thing. Jake calmed her down and explained what was going on. She said it had been her niece using her phone to text this guy LUPE. She was mad and yelled at her niece and said that she would help get our phone back. She did not want to involve the police because she herself was on probation. After many hours of text messages from her to LUPE with threats of calling the police or giving out his other phone # to us………..we got our phone back. At 10:30pm our home phone rang and it was LUPE calling to tell us that he left it with the cashier at a certain 7-Eleven store. We called it and found that he was not lying. Jake went and picked it up. After wiping it down with some Lysol wipes, we embraced our dear cell phone. We are so glad to have it back in our lives. I honestly don’t know how people lived before without cell phones. LUPE is 13 years old.

Breck-A-Boo

My boys love their little sister. They are constantly sitting by her and calling her Breck-A-Boo. They think it is funny when she has the hiccups because of the full body jerking that goes on when she has them. Breck is smiling a lot more now and making all sorts of noises. She's pretty good at entertaining herself in her crib. I'm anxious to fit into my old clothes! I made my family drive with me all over Salt Lake Valley to different stores because I wanted to buy something cute. When I would try stuff on I would hate them. I would leave the store empty handed. What a waste of time!!!??? Jake and I are going to try Weight Watchers "core" diet again. Before I was pregnant I did W.W. and lost a total of 17 lbs. I'm ready to do that again except this time MORE!! I hope I can be strong. I like sugar! I'm dying to see a good movie. Any suggestions?

I like to coo...
Breck is starting to coo more and even flashes a smile at us from time to time. If you listen closely you can hear Gavin crying in the background. Ha! Oops.

End of school!

Well, this Friday is Jake's very last final ever!!!!(unless he goes for a Master's or something)
He will have finished his Accounting degree. Hooray for Jake! He already walked in May of this year but had one more class to finish. I will be so glad to have him home after work from now on. No more, "I'm going straight to school from work to class or to study, etc..." I know the boys will be so happy. They love to have him around. He is more fun to play with than me. I'm always busy trying to get the dishes, laundry, dinner, lunch, whatever done. I'm not the type of mom who can play and leave a dirty house. Is that bad?
I would think that playing is more important of course.
I'm trying to think of some things I can sell on Ebay to make some extra $$. I can find stuff out of my closet but those aren't always worth much.
I was thinking that someone in our family needs to buy a timeshare. (we can't afford it or we would) Then we could all use it and pay them for it. Sounds fun, huh?
I am probably going to miss out on Arrowhead trip this month. We need to be smart with our $$. We are trying to get out of debt and with the gas prices.........it won't help.
Ok. This was a boring post. I'll try harder next time. Bye!

Singing threats.........

So, everyday of my life is pretty much the same right now. I can't do much with the little one though. My two boys are starting to really tease and torture each other. They do a thing I call the "singing threats". Sometimes they are just plain comments or insults too. They aren't aware of me calling it this. Here is an example. They might be playing the Game Cube and one will be beating the other. If one is upset about losing he will sing in a calm voice, "You'd better let me win this level or else I'm going to punch you in the face." The other sings, "No you won't." "Yes I will." or "You aren't very good at this game.......I'm better than you..." and the other sings," No you're not......." And so on........ I really get annoyed because the singing doesn't stay calm for very long. They end up yelling at each other or I intervein(sp). I think it is funny that they sing it at first though.
I am reading an interesting book called "The Giver". It is by Lois Lowry and it won a Newbery Award. If you are looking to read a good book, go to the Library and pick it up. I have heard from many that it is excellent! I am only on chapter 4 and I'm into it. It is hard for me to get into many books. Anyway, I'm off.

Aaahhhhhhhhhh.......Married Student Housing.......
Well, we have lived here in student housing for almost 5 years now. Let me share some of the joys I get to experience while living here. Most mornings I get to wake up with the sound of the 7 year old girl who lives above us roller skating up and down the hall. It is usually at around 7:30am. Sometimes when I wake up, it is because of the huge ride-on lawn mower passes my bedroom window. Back & forth, back & forth. Often I am woken up by a loud knock at my door like this morning. It is maintenance coming to fix a problem. I call the office to report a problem with my kitchen sink backing up but I never know when they will show up to fix it. I am lying in bed of course (in my underwear) when the knock happened. I jumped out in time to yell down the hall at him walking in the door. "Hang on!", I yelled. After throwing on whatever clothes I can find on the floor, I let him in. All of maintenance reak of cigarrette smoke too. My house still smells and he has been gone for 15 minutes. I do not understand smoking! Anyway, these are the perks of living here.
Oh, also, the other night I was walking down our hall in the dark(4 am) and I felt something under my heel. It felt like a small ball of something but was not sure what I had stepped on. I then had a strange thought. What if it was a ...................? I turned on the hall light and cringed. I had stepped on a big spider. Ew ew ew ew ew ew! It took me a while to fall back asleep because of the thought of what I had just stepped on.
Good Day!!

103 degrees today!
Gees Louise its hot here! I'm tired of the heat. When winter is here I want summer. When summer is here I want winter. Why can't the seasons be 2 months long and then switch? That would be perfect! We are going to a BBQ for my husbands work today. We won't stay too long because it's too hot!
Today is the Pioneer picnic in MV. I miss going to those. Remember we used to have all of the booths to go to? I remember when Patti C. was doing "Splatters" we could make t-shirts at the picnic. Remember the big buckle things that we would tuck our shirt into and we would pick a color that would match the splattered paint? Funny, huh?
I miss our old ward and all of the awesome families we were close with. (Miners, Clarks, Millers, etc...) I hope that whatever ward we end up in is as cool as ours was. Ok. I am reminising(sp?) a little. I miss being younger. It was so much fun! I am lucky to have grown up in such a great place. I hate it when people here in Utah talk about never wanting to live in CA. Whatever!!!!!!!!!!

Gavin's Birthday!
Today is Gavin's 4th Birthday! I can't believe he is 4 already. We got him some training wheels for Jonah's old bike(to give to Gavin) and some sidewalk chalk. Gavin loves to draw. We are also going to a place called Boondocks in Draper to have some fun tonight. The boys are excited to go there.
Last night was a super fussy night for Breck. I think she has tummy issues. It isn't every night but when it happens it is miserable. Jake took her for a walk again outside in the stroller until she fell asleep. It was 1:30am when he climbed into bed. I got to go to bed at about 12 midnight.
I think I'm going to buy Milicon drops today and see if they help next time. Who knows?
Thanks for the info everybody on what to teach my son! I am just not very creative and I want him to have fun learning. Anyway, it's really hot here. I wish we had a neighborhood pool or something. We have neighbors that fill up tiny pools in the courtyard so I guess that's better than nothing but..........I miss the beach! Nothing beats it!!! Nothing!!!!!!!!!!!

The Sundays..........
Today was pretty mellow for me. I woke up tired again and a couple of hours later, I took a nap.
It is week two with an infant. I didn't go to church yet. Maybe next week. I stayed indoors until the evening. I think I spent a total of 40 minutes outside. Haha. I am a hermit.
Did anyone catch the Italy/France game? Did anyone see the Fenchman head the Italian player in the chest? He was tossed out(carded) of the game and they lost. Since the USA was out of the game, we were cheering for Italy to win. (we think Jake is Italian so......)
Anyway, news flash! Jonah went to bed without any complaints tonight! I think this is a first. Maybe a second or third but it doesn't happen often. Jake goes back to work tomorrow so I will be alone with kiddos. I hope I get some sleep tonight or else........
Robyn, Dave and Trent are officially moved in to their new home in RSM. I can't wait to visit and sit in the hot tub.
Gavin is turning 4 on July 12th. I want him to go to pre-school but I don't think we can afford it and we don't qualify for HeadStart like we did when Jonah went. My question is: Does anyone know of a good program or anything I could use or find online to help teach Gavin at home? Let me know if you do. He knows all of the letters and how to write some of them but I need a creative way to teach him sounds and other things. Thanks. I'm off to spend time with Jake(and Breck of course). Later.

I am so stinkin' tired!
Hi there. I didn't sleep much last night thanks to Breck. I have the hugest headache that started last night and is still with me today. She is totally asleep right now though. I would like to sleep but it is about 12 noon and I have two boys that are up and at 'em. I have my husband Jake home but starting Monday he will be back to work and I can't be sleeping all morning while my kids watch TV. I wonder how the winter will be. We will be moving into a townhome that we purchased and it will be new environment, neighborhood, people,etc... We might be even more cooped up than now. Yikes! I'm not looking forward to that. Well, I want to go to California today! I miss it. I don't think we will be going until Christmas time. There is a possibility we could come for a long weekend in August for Lake Arrowhead with the Tibbitts Family. We'll see.
If you are needing new music to listen to, go buy or burn the new Angels & Airwaves album. (Walmart has edited version too) It is the guy from Blink 182 so that is what it sounds like. I enjoy it because I feel it is music that makes me reminice. Also, Keane has a new album. It is mellow but good. I like them. Also, any Jamiroquai album is great.

A new arrival.
The awesomeness of my blog page is thanks to my hubby, Jake. He is very computer literate. Check out the links you can go to from my blog. I think you will be entertained. Jamiroquai is my favorite music group. Feel free to browse their website as you listen to tunes by them. I think they are great for working out, dancing, driving, etc... Goodbye!
